These Terms and Conditions apply to guided tours, excursions, food experiences, museum and monument tours, tours with private transportation, private cruises and other activities offered by Sight Seekers Paris.
The essential characteristics, approximate duration, language, price, meeting point and included or excluded services are specified on the relevant activity page, quotation or personalized proposal.
By making a booking, the customer accepts these Terms and Conditions and any specific conditions communicated before payment. In the event of a conflict, specific conditions expressly accepted by the customer shall prevail.
3. Booking and confirmation
All bookings are subject to the availability of guides, vehicles, admission tickets, timed-entry slots and relevant providers. Unless otherwise stated, full payment is required at the time of booking.
An enquiry, email exchange, quotation or provisional hold does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking becomes firm and final only after full payment, verification of availability, securing any required tickets and services, and written confirmation from SSP.
For services requiring tickets or external providers, a requested time cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received and all necessary arrangements secured.
If the requested service is unavailable after payment, SSP will offer an equivalent alternative, another date or a full refund. Customers must check their confirmation and report any error immediately.
4. Prices
Prices are stated in euros and include all applicable taxes unless otherwise specified. The price and included services are those communicated at the time of booking. Personal expenses and services not expressly listed are excluded.
Some prices depend on the number of participants. A change in participant numbers may result in a price adjustment that must be accepted before the service.
Any non-refundable expenses, including tickets, booking fees, transportation, cruises or third-party services, will be disclosed before payment.
5. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the methods offered at booking, including credit or debit card, payment link or bank transfer.
Payments are processed in euros. Banking fees and exchange-rate differences remain the customer’s responsibility. SSP does not have access to confidential banking information entered through the payment provider’s secure interface. The customer warrants that they are authorized to use the selected payment method.
6. No statutory right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Article L. 221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure activities provided on a specific date or during a specific period. Dated tours and activities remain subject to the contractual cancellation policy below.
7. Cancellation by the customer
Unless specific conditions were expressly communicated before payment:
- cancellations received at least 24 hours before the scheduled start may be refunded after deduction of tickets, booking fees and third-party costs disclosed as non-refundable before purchase;
- cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled start are non-refundable;
- failure to attend, or a no-show, is non-refundable.
Deadlines are calculated according to local Paris time. Requests must be submitted in writing to
Private or customized services, group bookings, exceptional periods or services requiring significant third-party commitments may be subject to stricter conditions clearly communicated and accepted before payment.
Refunds are issued in euros through the original payment method. SSP is not responsible for banking fees or exchange-rate differences.
8. Non-refundable tickets and expenses
Admission tickets, reservation fees, guiding or speaking-right fees, administrative charges and partner services may be non-changeable and non-refundable. Their nature and amount or calculation method will be disclosed before payment and remain deductible from any refund.
9. Changes requested by the customer
Requests to change the date, time, itinerary, number of participants or service are subject to availability. SSP will make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee a change. Additional prices or new non-refundable expenses must be accepted and paid before confirmation.
A substantial change requested less than 24 hours before the service may be treated as a cancellation followed by a new booking.
10. Late arrival and no-shows
Customers must arrive at the meeting point at the confirmed time. If delayed, they must contact SSP or the guide as soon as possible. The start may not be delayed, particularly for small-group or timed-entry tours.
The tour may be shortened by the delay with no refund or guaranteed extension. A delay causing the loss of a timed ticket or making the service impossible may be treated as a no-show.
SSP recommends not scheduling a tour too soon after arriving by plane or train. Customer transport disruptions do not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
11. Minimum number of participants
Our small-group tours require at least two participants. If the minimum is not reached, SSP may wait for additional bookings, offer another date or tour, offer a private tour for a voluntarily accepted supplement, or cancel and issue a full refund. No additional payment will be imposed without express consent.
12. Cancellation or changes by Sight Seekers Paris
SSP may need to change the time, meeting point, order of stops, itinerary or guide because of availability, closures, access restrictions, demonstrations, traffic or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. A minor change that does not substantially alter the service does not entitle the customer to a refund.
If SSP cancels the entire service, the customer may choose another date or replacement service, subject to availability, a voluntarily accepted credit voucher, or a full refund for the cancelled service.
SSP does not reimburse personal expenses, including flights, trains, accommodation or independently arranged transportation.
13. Weather and outdoor conditions
Unless otherwise specified, tours operate in all weather conditions. Customers must bring suitable clothing, footwear and equipment. Rain, cold or heat does not by itself justify cancellation or a refund.
If conditions create a safety risk or make the service materially impossible, SSP may adapt, postpone or cancel the tour under Article 12.
14. Museums, monuments and external providers
SSP is not responsible for unexpected closures, strikes, access restrictions, rule changes, delays, construction work or decisions made by museums, monuments, transport providers or other external operators.
SSP will make reasonable efforts to adapt the itinerary or offer an alternative but cannot guarantee access to a specific site. Participants must comply with all rules, security procedures and instructions.
15. Food tours, allergies and dietary requirements
Included tastings are described on the activity page. Customers must notify SSP before booking, or by the stated deadline, of allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions or medical requirements.
SSP will make reasonable efforts to provide alternatives but cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergen traces or that every tasting can be adapted. Additional food and drinks are at the customer’s expense.
16. Children, health and accessibility
Minors must be accompanied by and remain under the responsibility of an adult. Customers must ensure that the duration, walking distance and stairs are suitable for all participants.
Accessibility requirements or requests for special assistance must be communicated before booking. Child-ticket conditions and the maximum number of discounted child tickets are specified on the relevant activity page.
17. Participant conduct
Participants must behave respectfully toward the guide, other participants, providers and places visited. SSP may terminate the participation of any person whose conduct is dangerous, violent, disrespectful, discriminatory or seriously disruptive. No refund will be due.
18. Liability
SSP is responsible for the proper performance of services it provides directly, subject to applicable law. SSP shall not be liable where non-performance or improper performance is attributable to the customer, an unrelated third party or exceptional and unavoidable circumstances.
